I'm a huge fan of Breyer's in general, and feel they are one of the top brands in store-bought ice cream. They're natural vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry are all top notch with remarkably simple ingredients.
Yet, I am in agreement with several other reviewers - something is distinctly wrong with the flavor of their chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. A friend and I described it as a sickening "blueberry pancake" flavor that fits the profile of neither cookie dough nor vanilla, but it could easily be read as a rancid flavor as others have described it.
As a huge fan of cookie dough ice cream and Breyer's, I had high expectations of this purchase.
All I received, however, was disgust and confusion. Looking at the ingredients label, I'm unable to identify what could be causing this strange flavor.
