I am going to have to stop buying Breyers chocolate ice cream. They came up with this extra creamy style chocolate.

Don't know where they got the idea it is extra creamy. I guess they consider high fructose corn syrup to be creamy. Cream is the second ingredient of the original chocolate. It is the forth in the extra creamy.

High fructose corn syrup is the third. It would be nice if the label was a different color, but it is black like the original. The "extra creamy" is in small letters on the side instead of written above the chocolate label. The picture of tbe ice cream looks basically the same.

It is very easy to pick up the wrong one. If i wanted extra high fructose corn syrup in my ice cream, i could buy an cheap store brand and pocket the $3 difference.

Most of the "ice cream" products from Breyer and others are now nothing more than a mix of artificial flavorings and sugar of various kinds. You have to look at the ingredients listed(as you did) in order to decide whether it is real ice cream or not.

You might try Breyer's Gelato, which seems to have cream listed as the first ingredient.

Mass produced "ice cream" nowadays is nothing of the sort. It is usually labeled "ice dessert product" or similar for a reason.
